Our own savoury blend containing coffee
We have created this blend especially for darker meats, but as a very versatile blend it is also great in vegetarian dishes. A mix of 3 types of peppercorns keeps it warm and interesting and our special ingredient – coffee beans- mellows it out. This blend has won American BBQ competitions for flavouring brisket.
Ingredients: Coffee, star anise, cloves, sicilian oregano, french grey sea salt, black, pink and white peppercornsIdeas for Arabica
- Make a marinade by frying with onions and garlic, great to marinade meat but also as a base for a lentil or chick pea casserole
- Rub onto venison steaks before barbequing
- Rub onto a beef fillet and then bake in the oven – slice finely to serve
- Use as a base with onions and garlic for mushroom soup
- Goes well with duck and Rabbit dishes
