Love In Pieces
This unusual sweet comes from Minas Gerias in Brazil. It is like a caramelised custard and is really delicious on its own or served with cheese.

Method
In a heavy-bottomed pan bring orange juice and sugar to a boil. Add cloves and cinnamon. Stir with a wooden spoon until sugar is dissolved, until syrup is thick enough to coat a spoon.
Break the eggs into a bowl and whisk well. Slowly pour the eggs into the boiling syrup. Boil for 5 minutes more without stirring. Cut the curdled eggs slightly lengthwise and crosswise. Pour into a compotier and serve with a sharp cheese.
