Kawakawa, dried flakes

A native New Zealand plant that has a fresh "minty" taste to it.

Kawakawa was traditionally used to make a refreshing tea as it has a nice minty, eucalypt taste to it. It is distantly related to Fijian Kava and can have the same tingling effect on the lips. Not to be confused with native horopito- NZ's pepper leaf.
