Ajowan seeds

Ajowan has a distinct "thyme-like" flavour and is good in slow-cooked dishes.

Ajowan is a close relative of parsley, although it tastes like thyme. Use only small amounts as its flavour is quite strong. It is perfect with vegetables and carbohydrates. Even the humble cabbage can be made exotic when ajowan is added to the steaming water. Also try it in savoury pastries and biscuits or with grilled meats.
